Getting StartedQuickstart

Quickstart

Accept your invite, set up your workspace, and get your team talking in Kuru Chat.

Get up and running

Kuru Chat is currently in invite-only alpha. This guide takes you from invite email to a working workspace with your first channel.

Kuru Chat is in alpha. Features and screens change quickly — if something in this guide doesn't match what you see, the product is usually right.

Accept your invite

Invites arrive by email from your workspace admin. Open the invite link and sign in — your account is provisioned automatically on first sign-in, no separate registration step.

Tour the workspace

After sign-in you land in your team's workspace. The main areas:

  • Channels — team and client conversations
  • Taskboard — tickets, activity, and time entries
  • Clients — your CRM: clients, contacts, tags, and assignments
  • Files — documents and uploads with autosave
  • Calendar — events and scheduling
  • Notifications — your inbox for mentions and updates

Join or create a channel

Team channels are where internal discussion happens. Create a channel from the sidebar, or join an existing one. Threads, reactions, and pins work the way you'd expect.

Invite your team

Workspace admins can invite teammates from the settings area. New members get the same invite-email flow you just went through.

Meet Kuru

Kuru is the AI assistant built into every workspace. Ask it questions in a channel or let its crew handle routine work like triage and reporting. See Kuru AI for what it can do.
